Wike, Umahi makes Tinubu’s ministerial list

Former Ebonyi State Governor Dave Umahi and his counterpart from Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, have been nominated by President Bola Tinubu to serve as his ministers.

The long-awaited list of 28 ministry nominees was released by Senate President Goodwill Akpabio on Thursday during plenary.

The list was presented to the Senate on Thursday during the Senate’s plenary session by Femi Gbajabiamila, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Twenty-five per cent of the nominees are women while 75% are men.

The women are Betta Edu, Doris Aniche Uzoka, Hannatu Musawa, Nkiru Onyeojiocha, Stella Okotete, Nkiru Onyeojiocha, Uju Kennedy Ohaneye and Iman Suleiman Ibrahim.
