President-elect Tinubu, Wife Arrive Nigeria Ahead Of Inauguration
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the next president, arrived in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, on Monday.
A large group of admirers greeted Tinubu’s aeroplane as it landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
The President-elect and his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, arrived from France at the airport’s presidential wing to a raucous welcome from party members and fans who had been waiting for him.

Kashim Shettima, the vice president-elect, was also among the leaders and supporters of the All Progressives Congress that welcomed Tinubu.
Tinubu left the nation on March 21 to spend some time in Paris and London.
According to a statement by Tunde Rahman for the Office of the President-elect, the trip was to enable Tinubu to rest and plan his transition programme ahead of his inauguration on May 29.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the electoral umpire, declared Tinubu the winner of the February 25 election after he received the most votes.
However, two of the top candidates, Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), are currently vigorously contesting Tinubu’s victory at the tribunal.
The last two years have been discussion around Tinubu’s health. Tinubu received surgery and physical therapy for a knee ailment while he was abroad in the UK in 2021 for more than three months. He subsequently made several trips to Paris and the UK in 2022.
