Portable Unable to Meet Bail Conditions, Remanded at Ilaro Correctional Center

Habeeb Okikiola famously known as Portable has been moved to Ilaro Correctional Center after he was unable to meet his bail conditions.
ENigeria Newspaper reported that Portable was earlier today arraigned before an Ogun State Magistrate Court in Ifo over three count charges which include, theft and assault. The singer pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against and was granted bail by the court.
On Friday when the controversial singer appeared before the Police headquarters after ignoring several invites. Upon his arrival on Friday, Portable was detained till on Monday morning when he was arraigned.
Upon granting him bail, his father and other family members rallied around to meet his bail conditions, but moments later when everyone thought he would be released, ENigeria Newspaper understood that the prison officials could not wait for the confirmation of the bail conditions and chose to move the Zazu singer to its correctional facility in Ilaro.
A lawyer at the scene confirmed to this newspaper that when all conditions for his bail are confirmed to be met, his lawyers would take the document to the correction facility for him to be released.
The Charges Against Portable:
Part of that charges against the singer read: “That you Badmus Habeeb Okikiola, aka Portable, and others now at large on the 28″ day of March 2023 at 11:00hrs at Odogwu Bar, Oke-Osa, Ilogbo, Ifo in the Ifo Magisterial District, did willfully cause or inflict physical injury on one Inspector Hammed Moshood ‘m’ with your elbow on his nose, which caused blood to gush out from his nose and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 4 (1) of the Violence against persons & Prohibition Laws of Ogun State of Nigeria, 2017.

“That you Badmus Habeeb Okikiola, M. aka Portable, on the same date, time, and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District did resist to be arrested by Inspector Hammed Moshood ‘m’, ASP Gregory Iyoha ‘m’, ASP Kunle Badmus ‘m’ after serving you with Police Invitation Letter on the 20 day of January, 2023 for the offenses you committed when they were about to discharge their duty with warrant of arrest on you thereby committed an offense contrary to and punishable under Section 197 of the Criminal Code Laws of Ogun State of Nigeria, 2006.”
