Portable Arraigned On Assault Charges

Controversial artiste, Habeeb Adunni Olawunmi Okikiola, also known as Portable, has been charged at the magistrate court in Ifo, Ogun state.
Last week, the artist posted an Instagram Live video in which he claimed that police had attacked his pub in Sango Ota at the request of an online fraudster (Yahoo Boy).
The musician was invited to the Ogun State Police Command’s headquarters after the video, which has since gone viral and generated some internet controversy.

Among other things, Portable is being charged with assault. Following his refusal to accept their invitation on Friday, the musician was apprehended by the police.
The artist spent the weekend in custody, according to the Ogun State Police Command.
The Force Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, commented on the situation on Saturday via his Twitter account, revealing that Portable faces at least a 6-count charge.
Part of the singer’s offence includes assaulting a police officer, Adejobi said, “Portable has more than 6-count charge to attend to, apart from resisting arrest and injuring a policeman. He will be charged to court for beating up a guy in Otta, who fired a petition to CP Ogun.”
