Police Confirms Killing Of Two Bandits In Kaduna




The Kaduna State Police Command has confirmed the killing of two suspected bandits in the state, ENigeria Newspaper reports.


According to a press statement made available to ENigeria Newspaper by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Mohammed Jalige in Kaduna, the operatives of the Command attached to 47 PMF Squadron, Zaria, intercepted some bandits around the Riheyi village within Fatika district on Monday at about 4.30 pm and engaged them in a gun duel.

Expressing satisfaction on the operation, Jalige said that the encounter saw the police operatives having the last laugh as the armed men bowed to the firepower of the police.

“Having applied gallantry that successfully neutralized two bandits, they recovered an AK47 rifle loaded with ten rounds of 7.62 X 39mm live ammunition and an operational motorcycle,’’ he said.


Furthermore, the state’s Commissioner of Police (CP), Mudassiru Abdullahi, commended the officers for their display of professionalism and courage to achieve the desired result.

The CP tasked all operational and tactical commanders to imbibe the culture of rigorous patrols in their areas of jurisdiction.
