The PDP further boasted that the results would be nullified.
Bola Tinubu, the candidate for president of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), should not have been declared the winner of the February 25 election, according to Daniel Bwala, a spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign.

“He did not secure 25 percent of the votes in the Federal Capital Territory,” Bwala said (FCT).
The PDP spokesman, in a post on his verified Twitter handle, vowed that Tinubu “would be the third African president whose victory would be upturned, and a fresh election ordered”.
“Even when @inecnigeria decided to rely on the widely contested and flawed results (which have now been proved by results on INEC IREV), the Chairman of INEC (Prof. Mahmood Yakubu) ought not to have declared Tinubu as winner because he did not secure 25 percent of the votes in the FCT.
“See Buhari v Yar Adua 2008 Supreme Court case where the Supreme Court interpreted the word ‘AND” as conjunctive to the context of the case.
“Tinubu would be the third African president whose victory would be upturned and a fresh election ordered,” he wrote.
