Speaking on the latest attack in Epe, Rhodes-Vivour said on Arise TV on Sunday, “There have been lots of threats. We have gotten a lot of intel about potential assassination attempts on my life. Yes, it happened in Epe.

“We had Honourable Wale Oluwo with us and we also had Honourable Najid of the PDP working with us and they were also shot at in Epe yesterday (Saturday).” READ MORE.

The 28-year-old actor-turned-politician narrowly avoided getting wounded when several unknown criminals who were allegedly political thugs attacked his team on March 16, 2023, when the LP was out on a campaign stroll.

Olumide Oworu, best known for playing Tari Johnson in the Africa Magic Series “The Johnsons,” recently announced his intention to run for office in Lagos as a member of the Labour Party.

Speaking about the incident, the 28-year-old via his verified Twitter handle disclosed that some members of his team sustained injury during the attack.

He further assured his supporters that he will not be deterred, but rather will be more committed to seeing through the campaign.

Olumide Oworu tweeted: “My team and I were attacked on Tuesday as we attempted to campaign at Iponri, Surulere. A member of my team was injured, but we are thankful the incident didn’t escalate past the level it was. The case has been reported at the Iponri police station.

“I am not deterred by the incident. Instead I am more committed to seeing this through. We will pass through the wards in constituency 1 (Akinhanmi/Cole, Adeniran/Ogunsanya, Iponri Housing Estate/Eric Moore, Igbaja/Stadium, Shitta/Ogunlana Drive, Yaba/Ojuelegba). See you outside!”
