It is not yet clear if the Imo State government will go ahead with Okorocha’s arraignment tomorrow, but for now the police has released him and his aides who were arrested with him.

It would be recalled that this newspaper earlier reported the clash between Okorocha and aides of Imo State governor after the former unsealed Royal Spring Palm which was earlier sealed on the governor’s orders.

Governor Uzodinma’s aides were accused of shipping in thugs who attached and destroyed cars and properties belonging Okorocha inside the Spring Palm hotel premises; the free for all also left many injured.

Uzodinma in a statement released by Ennyinnaya Onuegbu, Imo State Commissioner of Lands had earlier iterated that the State government is embarking on an exercise to revoke all lands illegally acquired by individuals or organisations in the state.

Onuegbu went ahead to evacuate occupants of the hotel forcefully before eventually sealing it up, until it was unsealed by Okorocha who arrived today in the company of his wife and son in-law Ugumba Uche-Nwosu.

Upon breaking the locks, he was rounded up by men of the Nigerian Police who later arrested him and took him to the State Police Command for interrogation.

More drama may unfold soon, stay tuned.
