International Labels Jostle for P-Square’s LEGENDRY Album
International music labels jostle for P-Square’s LEGENDRY album which is set for release.
ENigeria Newspaper reports that the music duo of Peter and Paul who together are known as P-Sqaure has concluded work on their next studio album LEGENDRY.
P-Square’s LEGENDRY album is coming following their reconciliation in November 2021 after feuding for about four years owing to bad blood between the twin brother who together broke into the Nigerian music scene decades ago.
P-Square has been under pressure from major record labels like Sony Music and others to sign with them so that they can officially distribute their album digitally, this is according to a close ally of the group who spoke to ENigeria Newspaper a fortnight ago. However, at the time, no firm decision had been made, he said.
According to our source, “the twin brothers and their management refused to be pressured but asked for more time to conclude and arrive at a decision”.
The P-square brothers were born in Jos, Plateau State, in November 1981, and had their debut album, “Last Nite,” released by Timbuk2 Music Label in 2003. The album features two prominent singles “Senorita” and “Igbedu,” produced by the duo and their older brother, Jude Engees Okoye. Benson & Hedges sponsored the album.
Following their reconciliation, the twin brothers embarked on 100 city tours across the globe each of which they put up their usual brilliant performance.
More on this soon.
