Folorunsho Alakija husband, Modupe Alakija suspended by Ikoyi Club, over what was tagged gross misconduct, ENigeria Newspaper reports.

Modupe Alakija, the troubled husband of Folorunsho Alakija, a rich entrepreneur, displayed himself as a demi-god to the point where his close friends and business associates worshipped the ground upon which he walked; although grudgingly.

But, like all man-made deities, Modupe lost his resemblance to a ‘god’ or something akin to one after he was suspended by the elite Ikoyi Club in Lagos a few days ago for attacking a fellow member.

Like the last fading smile of a cosmic Cheshire cat, the dark-hued man has lost his value.
According to reports, he has put the unpleasant incident behind him and is cursing his luck for dabbling in pugilism.

We heard that his victim, a famous member of the club, was ‘rude’ to Alakija, which enraged him. But the dark skinned husband of billionaire oil mogul was said to have approached him and spit into the air before taking it with a controlled cadence.

Then, with a dazzling slap, he stunned him in the way only Anthony Joshua could administer blows to an opponent. Still stinging from the savage slap, the man retaliated with intensity, attacking Modupe Alakija when he least expected it.

The man was soon on the floor, being beaten from all sides. He’d been to hell and back and was sucking for breath where there wasn’t any by the time he was freed from Alakija’s violent hold.

He had since been suspended for a year for such egregious behavior unbecoming of a man of his social stature.
