Doguwa Opens Up On Murder Allegations

A member representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency and Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Honourable Alhassan Ado Doguwa, has opened up on the murder allegations brought against him.
The police in Kano had charged Doguwa with murder for allegedly killing three people during the 25 February election.
The lawmaker was involved in a violent confrontation between members of the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) that led to the killing of three people and the burning of a campaign office of the opposition party in the Tudun Wada Local Government Area of Kano.

The police said the lawmaker was arrested and charged alongside other accomplices.
However, speaking about the situation on Tuesday, Doguwa stated that the allegations levelled against him by his political detractors were aimed at painting him black in the eyes of the world.
He attributed his recent victory to the will of God who gives power to whom he wishes and promised to carry every one along.
“My political rivals went all out to hold my jugular and insisted that i shouldn’t be elected to return to the house. They made sure that they painted me black through their malicious propaganda hate speech among others and now Allah has ruled otherwise,” he said.
“I forgive all those who wronged me and would like to call on them to come forward and assist me in discharging my duties as a representative of the people.”
