Chinwe Egwuagu: Nollywood Filmmaker’s Cause of Death Revealed

Chinwe Egwuagu: Cause of death the top Nollywood movie film maker who died in America days back has been revealed.

Chinwe Egwuagu alumnae of the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu, is known for her movies: Mr & Mrs (2012), Mr & Mrs: Chapter Two (2017) and Ayaka (2016).             

The filmmaker quietly relocated to the United States years ago and had since found her feet in the country as close allies told ENigeria Newspaper.

Only Recently Egwuagu reacted after the passing of her colleague, Peace Anyiam Osigwe, the famous founder of AMAA Awards who died after a brief illness in a Lagos hospital.
She wrote: “Peace Goodnight”.

Cause of Death

ENigeria Newspaper understands that Egwuagu had been battling cancer for some time and was on the to total recovery when she finally succumbed to the hands of death days back.

Although no official announcement has been made by her family, her friend and colleague, Remi Ibinola broke the news on her Facebook page on Sunday. Posting her picture, Remi wrote: “Life Sleep well Chinwe. May your soul rest in peace. The journey of pain is over for you.”

A famous quote by the deceased film maker is, “I have creative liberty and I use it.
Organic. Phenomenal.”
