BREAKING Liverpool After Victor Osimen

Liverpool after Victor Osimen, a Nigerian-born striker who has scored 23 goals in 24 matches, ENigeria Newspaper reports.

ENigeria Newspaper reports that Victor Osimen, 24 has now become the toast of big clubs in the English Premiership including Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, and several others giving his brilliant performance at the Seria A this season.

Since joining Napoli in 2020, Osimhen has scored 46 goals in 84 games. His recent play is thought to have drawn the attention of several elite European teams in time for the summer transfer window.

Osimhen is reportedly a target for Manchester United, who are still looking for a long-term replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Nigerian international is also reportedly attracting interest from big-spending Chelsea, who are reportedly willing to pay “whatever it takes” to get the attacker next summer.
Osimhen has also been linked to teams like Arsenal, Newcastle United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid, but according to Fichajes, Liverpool are the most recent team to enter the competition for his services.

Darwin Nunez, a striker who joined Liverpool from Benfica last summer in a deal that might reach a club record £85 million, was purchased with big-budget money by Jurgen Klopp’s team.

In the January transfer window, Liverpool added Cody Gakpo for £37 million from PSV Eindhoven to their attacking ranks.
Given that Roberto Firmino’s contract with the team expires in June, the Reds may decide to increase their pursuit of Osimhen this summer.

Though club president Aurelio de Laurentiis has insisted that the striker is not for sale, interested clubs may have trouble luring Osimhen away from Napoli.
“I can tell you that Osimhen is not for sale. Our players are in demand, but I don’t have to sell anyone. We don’t have any debts,” De Laurentiis told Bild, as quoted by journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Osimhen himself has played down speculation over a big-money switch elsewhere, telling Il Mattino last month: “[Napoli are] one of the best clubs in Europe and I want to win here.
“The future is this moment, try to win something relevant in Italy. It’s hard to think about something better than Napoli, one of the best clubs in Italy, right now.

“I am only focused on this season because we haven’t done anything yet. We must win something and then we’ll see what happens.”

Osimhen, who is valued in excess of £100 million by Napoli, is under contract at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium until June 2025.
