Anita Okoye formally files for divorce from husband Paul Okoye, over infidelity, others

Anita Tonye Okoye, wife of Paul Okoye one of the P-Square brother has formerly filed for divorce from her husband, ENigeria Newspaper reports.

Infidelity was listed as one of the grounds for the divorce, along with the fact that the singer has shown little interest in the upbringing of their children and rarely participates in their discipline, as seen on bullet points number 16 and 18 of the documents sighted by ENigeria Newspaper. The divorce paper was deposed by her attorney, Ojonimi S. Apeh Esq, J.S Okutepa SAN and Company.

In the suit, Anita Okoye accused her husband, Paul Okoye, of ejecting her sister from their home on June 11, 2020, after she learned that he had begun an extramarital relationship with Florence, one of their housekeepers.

The divorce petition, filed in a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja in 2021 by Anita Okoye and seen by the Nigerian newspaper, has the petition number PET/301/2021.

ENigeria Newspaper learnt that Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) sought to make peace with his estranged wife Anita when the news first surfaced in 2021 but all efforts—even those made by family members—to mediate a settlement have failed.

Remember that when the situation first broke out, family members intervened, including Anita’s mother and her cousin Ekene Nwakuche. However, according to a source who talked to us on the condition of anonymity, “from all indications things have gone extremely bad beyond repair.”
