Gas tanker explodes near First Bank building at Mowe

A gas tanker exploded close the First Bank building at the Mowe area of Ogun State on Sunday night, ENigeria Newspaper reports.
The incident happened around 10 pm, causing gridlock and panic in the area.
Details of the fire incident were sketchy as of the time of filing this report.
An eyewitness said the tanker caught fire near a First Bank building located along the Mowe area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
A spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps, Ogun State Command, Florence Okpe, confirmed the incident to our correspondent when contacted.
“It’s a gas tanker explosion. Our rescue team is there already. I will give you more information later,” she said.
