The disgraced police officer, Abba Kyari, and co-conspirators in the multimillion-dollar fraud masterminded by Ramon ‘Hushpuppi’ Abbas, have been suspected of being at large by US authorities.

Mr. Kyari has been hiding behind Nigeria’s corrupt police system to obstruct his extradition to the U.S. to face trial after his indictment in July, FBI accuse Nigeria Police Force.

The Nigerian police have formed three panels to investigate and reinvestigate the FBI’s case against Mr. Kyari.

Last Monday, police minister Maigari Dingyadi stated that the matter of the sacked deputy police commissioner can only be decided by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Legal experts promptly rebutted the minister’s remarks, claiming that it was more of an attempt to facilitate Mr. Kyari in eluding justice because his extradition process could simply be handled by the attorney general’s office.
