The death of Captain Hosa Okunbo, a super-rich businessman, came as no surprise to his family, according to ENigeria Newspaper findings.
Multiple family sources confirmed the tragic news of air captain Hosa Wells Okunbo’s death in the early hours of Sunday, August 8, 2021.
ENigeria heard that the Edo-born billionaire died on Sunday in a London hospital after a long illness.
Hosa Okunbo, the 63-year-old founder of Ocean Marin Solutions Limited, a Nigerian offshore asset protection organization, is also the father-in-law of Tsola Emiko, the incoming Olu of Warri.
According to ENigeria sources, the powerful millionaire had a long struggle with cancer, which had begun to improve until it suddenly relapsed a few days ago, eventually leading to his death.

ENigeria learned that Captain Hosa, as he is affectionately known, had relocated to London last year as his health began to fail.
The former commercial pilot who later went into business was apparently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, according to family sources who talked to this newspaper.
Captain Hosa’s health had significantly improved following treatments in London and Germany, respectively.
“His death did not surprise us as a family, given that doctors had told him he only had a year to live due to the severity of his illness,” a family source told ENigeria on Sunday morning in Lagos.
“He planned to return to Nigeria next week to witness the coronation of Tsola Emiko, the next Olu of Warri, who is married to his daughter, Ivie.”
One of the insiders stated, “He had his new Lagos mansion adorned and even acquired a new Rolls Royce for the new monarch.”
Hosa had close family members with him in London when he died.
He is survived by widow, Nosa, and 11 children.
