Tinubu, the head of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), was reportedly unwell and had surgery on one of his legs in London.
The news of his death in the media generated a frenzy among Tinubu’s camp, leaving many of his loyalists agitated.
Tinubu’s media aide, Tunde Rahman, quickly responded with a statement stating that the south-west politician was in good condition. “Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is in good health,” he wrote. He is in excellent health. He isn’t in any kind of medical facility. He doesn’t have any medical conditions that would require him to be admitted to the hospital. Yes, he is currently out of the country but shortly he’ll be back.”
Despite the fact that Tunde Rahman’s comment went viral, it didn’t seem to be enough to put an end to the prior rumor that had been gaining so much attention.
A photo of Tinubu hosting his political son and Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at his London mansion surfaced a few hours ago, and it was dubbed “photo of the day.”
Sanwo-Olu’s visit was most likely staged to dispel the rumour of Asiwaju’s death.
